It all depends upon what area you are looking for work, your geographical location.
The job market is very difficult right now. If I were you I would take a close look at your resume. Be sure that it is the best that it can be. Remember, this is the first thing that any potential employer will see and may be your only oppurtunity to make an impression. If you are not sure, ask a friend, family member or co-worker to assist with the review of your resume. There are many people looking for work now. Only the best resume is going to get an hiring officials attention.
Best of Luck to you .

it sucks…can’t even find a summer job.
It’ll happen, just don’t give up and try not to just drop off applications, use people u know to refer or guide u to places that are hiring, then find management, walk up and personally hand them the app., make a good impression and that’ll be that, good luck!
Job market is great.
What jobs are you applying for? Do you have the experience? Maybe others competing for the same job have a resume, which is ALWAYS better than an application.
Are you applying to places that NEED help?
How do you appear? Do you appear to be professional? Are you dressed properly or are you showing up in jeans & a t-shirt, earring & tattoos showing?
Dress in a button down shirt, slacks, remove all jewelry and get a resume then try again. You’ll be amazed at the results.
the job market is terrible- i can’t get anything either…i can hardly get any extra hours at my CURRENT job. you’re not alone
I am finding it tough as well.
We’ve got to be proactive, make sure everyone you know, know you are looking for something. Often the best jobs get found via word of mouth and connections, rather than the official route.
Keep doing the applications though!
